Citizens Fiduciary Services Business Support Manager in Remote, Delaware

The incumbent will focus on applying fiduciary service knowledge, as well as operational and risk management expertise across the business in support of a meaningful customer experience. The Fiduciary Business Support Manager is responsible for the management and execution of the fiduciary services account opening & closing processes. Jointly accountable for ensuring consistent on-going trust administration processes amongst customer facing colleagues and Private Wealth Middle Office. Serving as a performance improvement coach in support of quality operations.

Leveraging strong interpersonal communication skills, the incumbent will drive consistent business execution in support of our business line strategy and growth model in partnership with other colleagues. The incumbent proactively reviews processes and procedures identifying ways to streamline and drive efficiency within a strong control environment.

The Fiduciary Business Support Manager assists in designing scripts/controls, shepherding them through governance, and documenting necessary approvals. The incumbent will provide leadership to our Trust Associates in the execution of their functions to ensure consistent application of our fiduciary responsibilities regardless of geographic location.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Performing principal review and overall management of onboarding of client fiduciary service accounts by Wealth Advisors, Trust Officers and Private Client/Trust Associates. Which can include effective interface with Middle Office on all aspects of onboarding, for both the OCC Trust division and the Delaware limited purpose trust company. Effective execution of key fiduciary service client relationship activities by supporting, guiding, and coaching front line unit colleagues on processes to facilitate quality account opening and closing activities based upon underlying business processes.

  • Providing leadership and support to the Trust Associates involved in the Bank’s fiduciary services to ensure best practices are met. Developing and maintaining Delaware best practices and procedures for execution for that state-regulated bank’s activities. Accurately interpreting and applying regulatory, legal, and business line requirements and serving as a catalyst for continuous operational efficiencies and improvements.

  • Coordinate with other Citizens Private Wealth professionals and advisors and Middle Office Onboarding colleagues involved in fiduciary services to ensure best practices are met. Accurately interpreting and applying regulatory, legal, and business line requirements.

  • Proactively assess fiduciary service business processes for improvement and risk mitigation including presenting to various fiduciary/governance committees. Participate in regulatory exams and internal reviews and audits, with a specific focus to support successful Delaware state exams/audits.

  • Partner with Citizens Private Wealth and CFG colleagues to achieve business growth and retention goals.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Required:

  • 7+ years of experience with a trust company / department

  • Proven ability to develop executive ready communications and presentations.

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel and PowerPoint

  • Experience coordinating routines and facilitating meetings.

  • Superior communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Strong relationship management skills

  • Demonstrates strong personal drive, individual initiative, a sense of urgency, and responsiveness.

  • Well organized and able to manage competing priorities and deadlines with minimal management oversight.

  • Ability to effectively collaborate with other in different locations, departments and reporting lines.

    Preferred:

  • Experience in fiduciary services (trust administration) business development and operations desired.

    Education/Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required

  • CTFA would be a plus.

  • Advanced degree is a plus.

    Hours & Work Schedule

  • Hours per Week: 40

  • Work Schedule: M-F
