Clarfeld|Citizens Private Wealth is continuing it’s growth initiative. We are currently recruiting for a Wealth Advisory Planner for our San Francisco Office. For more than three decades Clarfeld’s team of CFAs, CPAs, attorneys and CFP®s provide full investment and wealth management services; comprehensive income tax and estate tax planning, structuring, compliance and governmental representation capabilities; and highly personalized concierge family office services.

The role is primarily a pure subject matter expert (SME) with a broad skillset that would allow the incumbent to be a trusted advisor, educator, communicator, writer and thought leader in the Advanced Tax and Estate Planning (ATEP) / personal financial planning department. This is a high profile role, responsible for the preparation, finalization, and follow through of complex ATEP work product for clients (with support and the ability to delegate).

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare in-depth analyses of client's tax/estate/financial position and have a good knowledge of services provided across Citizens / Clarfeld. Public speaking, writing skills and ability to work well with partners across organization are a must.

  • Proven ability to help close business and actively look for cross-sell and business development opportunities strongly desired.

  • Delegate work to associate level ATEP planners, as well as coordinate project assignments across departments, as necessary.

  • Actively work with senior advisors to deliver planning to clients. Will assist in the education/training of planners.

  • Production and delivery of a broad range of highly technical estate, tax and financial advice to Ultra High Net Worth individuals/ families, including succession advice to business owners.

  • Engage in public speaking on technical topics. Write white papers and research. Be a thought leader within ATEP/PFP.

  • Advisor education, including Clarfeld University and new hire training

  • Liaise with PriComm partners on a consistent basis to nurture and strengthen the partnership (and help drive revenue opportunities).

Qualifications

  • 5+ Years Broad Knowledge and Understanding of High Net and Ultra High Net Worth Financial Instruments

  • 15+ Years In-Depth Knowledge and Experience of High Net and Ultra High Net Worth Strategies and Client Management

  • Effectively communicate with all levels and departments across the firm (with particular emphasis on PriComm partners).

  • Must have deep experience giving a broad range of highly technical advice to Ultra High Net Worth individuals, including succession advice to business owners.

  • Preferred background with deep tax, legal and planning experience.

Education/Certification:

  • Bachelors Degree is required

  • CFP is required

  • JD and legal experience, LLM a plus

Hours & Work Schedule

  • Hours per Week: 40

  • Work Schedule: M-F

Pay Trasparency

The salary range for this position is {$170,000 - $200,000}, plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience. ​
